Meet Our Founder

We are so excited to announce our most anticipated launch! Our journey is filled so much love for our community, our creators, and our planet. We're here today sharing our founder's story (and getting a little personal while we're at it)
Tell us about yourself and how how the idea for cibelle came about...
It all started with pen and paper, some cool eyewear designs, and a bright idea to make others feel great by simply being themselves. Truth be told, I had to start wearing reading glasses at the age of twenty-six. Frustrated by the lack of options available, I set out to create frames that transcended functionality and made me feel great, not only on the outside but most importantly on the inside. When searching for the perfect pair of glasses, I struggled with the idea that optical frames looked like medical devices. Without giving it too much thought, I started designing eyewear models that I knew I would feel proud and excited to wear. At that point I knew that I had to build a community of empowerment. Creating a movement that enables others to feel their best is my ultimate definition of success.
Why is the first collection called #BeAnOutlier and what does it mean to you?
We started to think about what story we wanted to share through our pieces. As a society, we tend to strive for perfection and ignore our differences. We call outsiders "outliers". To me, being an outlier means being perfect in my own unique way.
I grew up with people body shaming me all the time, without thinking about the pain that it caused. As I matured, I realized that my power lied in what made me different, and I learned to accept myself just the way I was; perfectly imperfect.
What is your definition of beauty?
Beauty to me is being the best version of oneself. Beauty should be on your terms... ALWAYS!
Do you think authenticity has taken you to where you are today? If so, how?
Being authentic in a superficial world is hard. Standing up for your beliefs when you think you are being judged is hard. In my case, being authentic has led me to this journey of building a community of impact.
What advice with you give your younger self?
As cliche as it may sound, I would tell myself to never give up on my dreams, and to remember that no matter how many NO's you get, you are only one step closer to getting a YES.
Tag 3 beautiful women that have inspired and helped you in your entrepreneurial journey
Cibelle would not be where it is today without them. So much love for these incredible humans.

At cibelle, we believe that being different is more important than being perfect. What would you like to share with these ladies that dare to be outliers?
Don't be afraid to be yourself. Being perfect is not possible. Don't aim for perfection, aim for being your best self.
How do you stay true to yourself? Any tips or magic tricks?
I am a big fan of yoga, it helps me stay grounded and remain thankful for this magical journey we've embarked on.

Thank you, Agustina for joining us today!
Here at Cibelle, we love nothing more than growing our sustainability family and sharing your journey. Keep an eye on our blog and social media for updates and exciting events coming up.
